FitLink is a fitness community platform built and operated by FitLink HQ. We’re based in the Bay Area, California.

2. What Data We Collect

Data you give us:

  • Account info: your name and email address when you sign up.
  • Profile info: fitness level, workout preferences, profile photo, and bio.
  • Location: your general location to show you nearby events and people. We never share your exact address.
  • Event data: events you create, join, or save.
  • Messages: conversations between you and other users inside the app.

Data we collect automatically:

  • Usage data: how you use the app, features you interact with, and actions you take.
  • Device data: device type, operating system, and app version.
  • Location data: approximate GPS location when you use location-based features (only when the app is open).

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Show you nearby fitness events and workout partners.
  • Enable messaging between matched users.
  • Send you app updates, event reminders, and important notifications.

  • With other users: your public profile (name, photo, fitness level, workout preferences) is visible to other FitLink users. Your exact location is never shared — only your general area.
  • With service providers: we use trusted third-party services (like cloud hosting and analytics) to operate FitLink. These providers only access your data to perform services for us.
  • For legal reasons: if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

We never sell your data to advertisers or third-party marketers.

5. Location Data

FitLink uses your location to show you nearby events and people. Location is only accessed when you have the app open and have granted permission. You can turn off location access at any time in your phone settings, though some features may not work without it.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct any inaccurate information.
  • Delete your account and all associated data at any time.
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time.

FitLink is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will delete it immediately.

We take reasonable steps to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no internet platform is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to contact us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
